Yes! We ARE accepting proposals!
As a growing group fanfic website, Marvel Knights is dedicated to gathering the best of the best, the creme de la creme, of writers available. Thinking of proposing a title to Marvel Knights? Fantastic...but there's a few things you need to know:
The continuity of each title is decided upon by both the writer and the editor. Feel free to incorporate any character history you wish from the real Marvel Universe (as long as it doesn't interfere with something all ready established within the site).
Titles labeled as "active" aren't available (since, ya know...they're active). However, sometimes writers choose to finish up a run on his/her book. You're more than welcome to discuss following up a writer, just don't get your hopes up.
Titles labeled as "completed" ARE available, unless otherwise specified by the previous writer and/or management.
Whether or not a proposal is accepted is at the total discretion of the management. Sometimes a proposal just may not have the right kick to it, so don't get discouraged. The editors are more than ready to help you out so toss one of them an e-mail if you feel like there's a way to shoehorn in your ideas.
So...still with us? Good! Keep in mind that this is a GROUP fan fiction site and that your potential series should take other writers and titles to heart. Feel free to base plots off of what has all ready happened (in fact, we encourage it). Now on to what your proposal should include:
Contact information - Name, e-mail, that sort of thing.
Premise - Tell us what your title is about in just a couple of paragraphs. What's the general story being told? What do you hope to attempt to show? Is this different than any other fanfic series with these characters? Is this a follow-up to a previous story either here at the site or elsewhere?
Characters - What characters do you plan on using in your title? Make sure to check the DIBS section to see if the characters you wish to use are available. Even if they aren't ask the dibbing writer if you need to (sharing is something we all learned young).
Outline - Just a general overview of how you see your series unfolding, complete with number of issues and the different storyarcs planned. Don't be afraid to get in depth. The more of your ideas we see the more likely we'll accept the prop.
That's everything you need to know! Get to planning/writing and fire your proposal over to us. Your best bet is to contact the administration directly at admin@marvelknightsgroup.org. Good luck!
